 in that quiet moment, something shifted—your eyes—those who’s seen the harsh truth of the world—softened, and for the first time, i felt truly seen. the years of distance dissolved, like shadows fading into dawn, and there was light at the end of the tunnel. i melted into your arms with tears running down my face. you understood the struggles i’ve been having in silence, the baggage weighing down my shoulders. and you saw the duality in me: the child seeking comfort and the adult lost in life’s uncertainties.
